It is a condition where endometrial tissue that surrounds the uterus, grows outside the uterus. This tissue is often developed on the ovaries, fallopian tubes, and other tissues that support the pelvis with endometriosis. Such a condition can cause bleeding or spotting between your periods. One might face digestive issues like bloating and diarrhoea, especially during menstruation. For endometriosis patients, getting pregnant becomes difficult. Symptoms of Endometriosis include:

  • Pain during sex
  • Painful menstrual cramps
  • Lower spine pain/pelvic pain
  • Pain while urinating during periods
  • Pain in genitals

 

Dysmenorrhea

If you facing severe pain while menstruating, then it can be a symptom of Dysmenorrhea. Though it can be manageable, it can be severe for some people. Women usually feel pain in the lower abdomen, hips, lower spinal cord, and legs. Dysmenorrhea pain lasts from 1 to 3 days, sometimes you feel relaxed while some days you feel like killing pain. The common signs of Dysmenorrhea include:

  • Diarrhoea/Vomiting

  • Fatigue
  • Painful cramps/lower spinal pain
  • Morning sickness

  • One who is having heavy bleeding during periods

PMDD (Premenstrual dysmorphic disorder)

PMDD is a condition that is a severe form of Premenstrual syndrome. Symptoms of PMDD include physical and behavioural effects on your body which can badly affect your routine life. These severe symptoms of PMDD usually resolve with the beginning of menstruation. If you have heredity of depression or any other mood disorders or heredity of PMDD, you might be at higher risk. The premenstrual dysmorphic disorder can cause mood shifts that can disturb your work and personal life.

The common symptoms of PMDD are:

  • Depression/Extreme anger/Sadness/Panic attack
  • Anxiety/stress/mood swings
  • Easily get irritated
  • Sleep-deprived or excess urge to sleep
  • Headache
  • Lower and middle back pain/Bloating/Fatigue/Weight gain
  • Facing difficulty in concentrating
  • Food cravings

Menopausal disorder/Hormonal issues

As one reaches the age of 40s or 50s there is a natural reduction in reproductive hormones of a female body. Menopause is a natural biological process that can be diagnosed once you have crossed 12 months since your last period. According to research, 70% of women face the issue of chronic lower back pain problems during their menopausal age. Common signs of Menopausal disorder/Hormonal issues are:

  • Vaginal Dryness/Hot flushes during white discharge
  • Lack of sleep
  • Anxiety/Stress/Fatigue/Night sweats
  • Mood swings/irritation/hair loss from the scalp
  • Painful sex

Spinal osteoarthritis

This is a condition that can cause a breakdown in fibrous cartilage in facet joints. Osteoarthritis in the joint that connects your vertebrae is very common in women nowadays. Women with increasing age and weight are at higher risk of causing spinal osteoarthritis. If you are detected with osteoarthritis of the lower back then it can cause:

  • Firmness in the back and sudden pain in the morning
  • Experience flares of severe pain
  • Pain in the upper back, lower back, joints, groin, hips, and thigh

This severe pain may occur on one side of your back and can increase if any external pressure is forcefully applied, and can be relieved if you bend the spine forward.
